Description
Absinthe is a strong anise-based alcoholic drink, with an alcohol content between 55% and 85%, infused with various plants. Its distinctive feature is the predominant presence of wormwood extract (artemisia absinthium), which gives absinthe its specific bitterness. Depending on the recipe, other plants such as lemon balm, mint, licorice, mugwort, fennel, gentian and others may also be part of the drink’s composition. Tunel Green Absinthe has a rich, intense taste with the characteristic bitterness specific to absinthe. Absinthe is usually served cold and is rarely consumed neat, since it is very strong and bitter. Ice, water and sometimes sugar are added to prepare the drink. The traditional absinthe-serving ritual, which involves placing a sugar spoon with a sugar cube over the glass of absinthe and pouring cold water over it, creates a mysterious, theatrical atmosphere.
