Glenmorangie Nectar D’Or 16 Years is a premium single malt Scotch whisky from the Highlands region, created by Dr. Bill Lumsden as a more mature, more complex interpretation of the original Nectar D’Or. This whisky is aged for 14 years in bourbon casks, then finished for a further 2 years in carefully selected sweet white wine casks from France, Spain and Hungary. For this finishing stage, Sauternes and Monbazillac wine casks (France) were used, adding notes of brioche, meringue and baked apple; Moscatel wine casks (Spain), for sweet, syrupy accents; and Tokaji wine casks (Hungary), which lend notes of white chocolate, almond and honeycomb. Glenmorangie Nectar D’Or 16 Years is a deeply refined whisky with a pronounced dessert-like character, ideal for leisurely, indulgent moments.
